There's a small row of houses and apartments here, most installed above warehouses. It's cheap, dilapidated housing, but purely functional. Most of it is used as space for the dockside prostitutes and street walkers, but some houses the poorer folks that work the docks in a less seafaring capacity: shipwrights, dockyard laborers, barkeeps, and the like. Yolo furtively walks up to the door, takes out the jour...

011. Waking Dreams

Lee Rensler has sent someone out looking for Yolo and Dax. Given the way they left town, it wasn't clear that they were out looking for the artifact to bring back to Lee. He got impatient and hired someone to go after the pair and deal with the situation. The Watchers didn't give up their pursuit of Yolo. Some of them have found where she's sleeping and intend to put the issue to an end here and now. Property Value Start Date & Time Previous Scene [[010. 009. They Call Me Yolo for a Reason

Return to the nearest part of civilization, collect my thoughts, pick a likely place to do research and start heading there. Since the scene is altered, curiosity gets the best of Yolo. I find a safe place to try out the magical device, maybe with some hired help to watch me while I do a relatively dangerous thing During the mad flight, I ran northwest, towards Knathton and falling stones. It's untested whether any of those are on my map (or what direction we were originally coming from.) This is the scene where I switched from SWADE to Cypher. I'd gotten frustrated with SWADE in a different game. The pulpy exploding dice are cool in a group setting, but with a solo hero, sometimes they just kill you. If the rolls look odd, it's because Cypher's a little weird. You roll a d20 and try to beat 3x the task difficulty, so for a difficulty 5 task, you're looking to get 15 or better on a d20. 008. A Night in the Woods

The people pursuing Yolo got a really good look at me, and found something on Daxter Biggby's corpse tying the two of them together. They have enough information to pursue me easily, and enough power to do so, though Yolo isn't aware of the danger yet. Regrouping in the woods, ditching my trail, making a decision on whether to double back and track them or return to civilization. Got Interrupt, PC Negative
